In April 2020, the Commons Education Select Committee asked for evidence about the impact of Covid-19 on education and children’s services.
SSBC submitted a report about the impact of Covid-19 on children aged 0-4 in Nottingham.
We used views of providers and parents to answer three areas of the enquiry:
- How well children’s services were able to support vulnerable children and young people.
- The likely impact of the closure of groups and the services for younger children.
- The likely impact on families who already have multiple challenges.
We're pleased that our response was accepted by the Common’s Education Select Committee.
This means that the experiences of Nottingham families will help inform the national review and recommendations.
